Train Disruption Between Cardiff and Newport

Rail services between Cardiff and Newport are being suspended this weekend while engineering work takes place.

Arriva Trains Wales, First Great Western and CrossCountry services are all affected.

No trains will run between Newport and Cardiff Central on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of June.

All weekend, buses will replace trains between Newport and Cardiff Central with extended journey times.

Arriva Trains Wales services to and from Ebbw Vale Parkway will start and terminate at Pye Corner. Passengers should travel on replacement buses between Cardiff Central and Pye Corner. Some train services from Ebbw Vale Parkway will run directly to and from Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa.

First Great Western services from South Wales to London Paddington will be retimed to depart Swansea and stations to Bridgend earlier than normal to maintain connections at Cardiff Central and Newport.
