A man has died after they were hit by a train at Manningtree station.
It happened just before 9.30am.
The British Transport Police said: "Officers attended alongside paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service. A man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are now working to establish the man's identity and inform his family.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
Greater Anglia says services between Ipswich and Manningtree will be suspended until at least 1pm.
Greater Anglia said: "This is affecting services to/from Liverpool St & Norwich, as well as services to/from Ipswich and Manningtree.
"Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Manningtree & Ipswich lines are blocked.
"A limited rail replacement bus service will be in operation between Manningtree & Ipswich from 10.45".
