When I was a kid, I would spend up to eight hours each weekend submerged in a bathtub, reading and subsequently damaging hundreds of library books. One day, I took a bath so hard that the water overflowed, seeped through the floor, and collapsed the ceiling below. As an adult, I have listed “bathtub” as my only criteria when renting apartments; every day that I have had to take a shower instead of lying down and slowly boiling my internal organs is a day wasted.
